Will and Loren

These are from a while ago, but I was going through stuff on the external hard drive and found these. These are the photos that inspired me to put my stuff on a separate blog, actually. One I could give out when people wanted to see my photography, but didn't really need to see my flickr page, which is more personal.

Aww, so cute.

My favorite from the day for sure, even though most people like the one above the best.

I liked the composition of this one...and the colors came out so well.

The photographer and the subjects needed a group picture. Love these people. Will and Lo are on the left, and Em and Ron and their daugher Abby (my goddaughter, she's on here other places) on the right.

They are so silly. But I love it.

This is SO like them.

OK, this is the last one. Love it.

Reflections on ND

The water was SO clear that day. The reflections were so perfect. I had to do so little processing.

I tried to do some 70's processing on this one. It's my new favorite thing.

I love symmetry. And the colors are lovely.

Seemed like such a lovely, nostalgic scene.

Yeah, nothing to say about this. It speaks for itself.

Water towers usually don't inspire a lot, but I loved the reflections.

Seld-Portrait Mania

Some from my daily self-portrait project. This first one you could take the wrong way, and it's not just gratuitious showing of skin (for those who don't know me and may assume it). I've just been having a hard time eating lately because of life's many stresses.

This is a compilation of images (another disclaimer: image on the left is my leg, not anything I wouldn't post on the internet!) I took one night having been dealing with something very difficult.

And here's a happier one, lest you think I'm depressed all the time. The picture on the left was taken a year ago Monday. Something happened that I didn't know how to deal with at the time, and it took me a long time to work through it. One year later, I know more about myself and I am happy with who I am.

And this is me just being silly in my classroom. No kids that day, just hanging out and doing report cards/IEP quarterly reports on goals. Woo. I think we ALL needed a break from each other.

Autumn

Here are some recent things.

I like the leaves.

Not sure anyone else does as much. Especially this one. For some reason I adore it. I really do. I made it look sort of 70's with the processing.

Sunset, yo. Jenny and I walked around St. Joseph's lake, which I don't do very often. In fact, I've never been all the way around it before. I'm glad we did. It was lovely.

This is by Little Flower. I saw the leaves on my way home and knew I had to come back and take pictures. I'm doing all sorts of wonderful things with my macro lens.

Also at Little Flower. I just love the colors.

And lastly, this is outside the house. One of the ash trees. I think that's what they're called.

I thought once would be enough but I guess that wasn't so

When I got confused about the game, or it was during that run of 3rd down/penalty, I started taking pictures of the sky. It was AWESOME. YAY flare.

Howard Hall in miniature

More T/S attempts. I like the way this one turned out. It's been sitting on my computer for ages, waiting for me to be brilliant and make something of it
(it was boring on its own but I knew I'd make it cool someday).

I was taking a walk during work at ND one day and happened to have my camera. I like the archways on this dorm.

Randomness.

Found a lovely patch of echinacea at Rum Village.

Drive-by on the way back from a car show.

Playing with Photoshop trying to mimic a tilt-shift lens. It makes things look like they're in miniature. I really liked the way this turned out.

More Abby again!

Love that girl. And not just cause she's cute and makes my job easy.

Messy messy fingers and cake!

Happy birthday baby!

Smushed!

And the cake goes everywhere.

More messy hands.

Trying the frosting.
